Federico Gonzalez is an Argentinean visual and commercial artist. He is also the creator of a DIY resin-figure called Bicho Wings, which is self-produced and handmade by Gonzales.This adorable toy is scheduled for a group exhibition, featuring works from Doma, Punga, Kidgaucho, Leche, Barfuss, DGPH, and others. Gonzales hopes to include his Bicho Wings creation in a touring show, so other artists globally can add their own unique touches to his DIY toy. Gonzales doesn’t just make resin toys, however; he is a very accomplished artist by any standard. Check out his sick collection on his blog.

Bicho Wings 2007-11-07 TOYS
Dalle pagine di ToysAreEvil veniamo a sapere dell'imminente usicta di un nuovo toy DIY creato dall'artista argentino Federico Gonzalez.Il suo nome è Bicho Wings e a noi ricorda molto gli elefanti fantasma che popolano l'incubo del piccolo Dumbo nell'omonimo film disneyano. Il toy è un'autoproduzione, nel senso che Federico se lè costruito da solo come le foto sul suo BLOG testimoniano e nei prossimi mesi diventerà anche il protagonista di un custom show che vedrà coinvolti artisti sudamericani quali Doma, DGPH, Punga, Kidgaucho, Barfuss, Leche e altri.Vi terremo informati sugli sviluppi...

Federico Gonzales est un artiste Argentin qui, comme moi et beaucoup d'autres artistes maintenant, travaille sur la création de son propore jouet ici nommé le Bicho Wings. Ce jouet en résine est 100% auto-produit par Federico, il mesure 6" (15 cm env.) pour un poids de 480 gr. Ce poids est d'ailleurs le souci de Federico qui envisage une édition en rotocast pour un résultat plus résistant et surtout plus léger. La famille Bicho Wings compte actuellement 15 individus. Des expositions de Bicho Wings customisés par des artistes argentins comme Doma, DGPH, Punga, Kidgaucho, Barfuss and Leche sont également prévues.
Federico Gonzales is an Argentin artist who, like me and much of other artists now, works on the creation of his own toy named Bicho Wings. This resin toy is 100% own-produced by Federico, it measures 6" for a weight of 480 gr.. This weight is a problem for Federico which considers an edition in rotocast for a more resistant result and especially lighter. The family Bicho Wings currently counts 15 individuals. Exposures of Bicho Wings customized by Argentinian artists like Doma, DGPH, Punga, Kidgaucho, Barfuss are also envisaged.

Federico Gonzales - Bicho DIY
Argentinian artist Federico Gonzales has created designs for several well-known commercial clients including VANS, LA MARTINA, Blackfin, Puma (Argentina) graniph (JAPAN), SWH(Taiwan). He's also pursuing his own personal art both in 2D and 3D forms, toys of course! He's about to set his Bicho (little beast ?) DIY resin figures loose into the world of humans. The winged Bicho with stubby arms is Federico's first original toy. He's lined up a strong group of Argentinian designers to customize the first ten figures to come off his workshop table including DOMA, DGPH, punga, kidgaucho, Barfuss and Leche. The plan is to create a touring expo with stops around the world with retailers stocking Bicho. If you run a store and would like to carry Bicho, drop Federico an email.
We're stoked to see more artists using resin as a means of self-producing their own art toys. We're a little surprised more artists haven't taken this route. While vinyl may serve as a sign of commercial acceptance -- resin allows small runs at manageable costs, which is really one of the original concepts behind designer vinyl.
